Four words: commitment, competence, experience, and integrity.
I am committed to public education and to Madison County. I believe that public education is essential to the health of our Commonwealth and the Republic. I will be a passionate and articulate advocate for public education. I am also committed to Madison County. I have lived here off and on since 1979 and permanently since 1995. Though I was not Madison born and Madison bred, when I die I will most likely be Madison dead.
I believe my educational background, my analytical abilities, my people skills, and my experience in higher education for 25 years give me the competence and experience necessary to fulfill the important responsibilities of a School Board member.
I am a person of integrity. I encourage those who do not know me to talk to the people who do and have dealt with me over the years in Madison. I hope that they will convince you that I can be trusted to be honest, open, and fair. I assure you I will strive to be all that. I will do my best to explain the reasons for the votes I cast and the decisions made by the School Board.
